COLLECTOR SERIES

HOW MANY PIECES DO YOU MAKE PER RELEASE?

Collector Series ball-markers will include two tiers of ball-markers. Tier 1 will be strictly limited edition runs with a number determined at the release. These will usually include the individual number of the piece (eg 01 of 20) and won't be released in this form again.

Tier 2 ball-markers are just as special as Tier 1 markers, but will be made in longer runs and may be remade after sellout. This allows us to offer a better price point due to the increased volume and not needing individual numbering. These are still made with the same craftsmanship and care as Tier 1 products.

CAN I REQUEST A CUSTOM DESIGN OR THEME?

You can, but please understand that one-off designs generally take as long (or longer) to design as our limited edition collector series. If it's a design theme that we could potentially release in our Collector Series, then we would offer you the first one off the mill as a thank you for your collaboration. Due to the costs/time it takes to design, prototype and then make, it may not be cost effective to create a one-off design for you. If you were to order a number of markers (minimum 10) we will likely be able to help in some way or provide some alternatives that can fit in your budget.

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

We are always experimenting with different metals including solid stainless steel, brass, copper and titanium. We prefer to use materials which have a heavy weight so you can feel it in your pocket and often the thickness is around 3-4mm depending on the design. We don't use anything but solid materials so that the pieces will last a lifetime. Our pieces are generally NOT magnetic unless expressly noted in the product listing as solid materials such as brass, copper and stainless do not have this quality.

HOW THICK ARE THE MARKERS?

Our markers are thick with each one 3-4mm. Check the product description for the specific size of the release you are looking at. These were never meant to be lightweight items that are used with a magnetic holder but heirloom collector pieces. The thickness of the material is our sign of quality, expertly machined into its individual design and made to be able to feel the weight in your pocket.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY MARKER?

We use materials such as brass, copper and stainless steel. Each have different properties and characteristics. Brass and copper markers will develop a patina with age which may darken the material. Copper will darken faster than brass, with stainless steel being the most durable and corrosion resistant choice. Some golfers prefer the patina and others polish their markers with products such as Brasso or other non-abrasive cleaner to bring back that "just purchased" look. Products that are abrasive like Autosol need to be used with care as it may strip back any applied patinas and smooth out markers featuring our bead-blasted satin finish. Markers truly get better with age and show every round they have been used like an heirloom item should.

To reduce the amount of patina developing, a quality micro-crystalline wax such as Renaissance Wax can be applied to the piece and then carefully buffed off with a microfibre cloth by hand.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP?

We ship just about everywhere in the world. We provide tracking and air freight times depend on the country but normally range within 4-10 business days. We use Australia Post, our pricing for shipping is based upon their online calculators taking into account size and weight.

PRO SHOP SERIES

WHAT IS THE WHOLESALE/RETAIL PRICE OF A MARKER?

The retail price of a marker varies on the design, material/s used, thickness of the material and if it is individually numbered, has paint filled areas or is individually marked with the name, achievement or other.

We have previously sourced, prototyped and experimented with lower cost materials to create ball-markers with, however these generally require 2-3 times the amount of time to prepare them to an Omen standard of finish and are therefore not something that we can proudly get behind.

Our quantity pricing (15+ markers) will generally allow pro-shops to make a healthy margin on sales of approximately 100%.

HOW CAN OUR PRO SHOP / GOLF CLUB PERSONALISE A MARKER?

Omen markers have a presence and some pro shops we have worked with, have pre-purchased batches of 15-50 with the fronts sharing the same design. We produce the marker order on the side not needing personalisation and these are stored for you. When we receive the achievement to go onto the other side (eg hole in one) we complete that side (with name, hole number and date) and send to your club (normally within a day or two of receiving the details). Achievements can include hole in ones, monthly medal winners, nearest to pins, longest drives, life memberships or membership milestones, volunteer appreciation and other golfing and club achievements. The Omen marker then acts as a golfing trophy that can proudly be used by that golfer for a lifetime. They can also be manufactured with specific event titles or simply with "Stableford Winner" for items that do not need personalisation.

Pro shops we work with had such an interest in our markers (when hole in one recipients started to use them on the course), that other members started to request them through the pro shop to commemorate their achievement, (some of them many years before). These were then able to be ordered from their pro shop and using our bulk purchase quantity of 15+ (which can be pre-purchased and then stored at our premises until the details come through to engrave), we were able to have the personalised markers delivered within a few working days. We are happy to provide a sample that golfers can view in your pro shop along with posters or other POS material.

If you have a project in mind, whether an achievement based marker range, or pro-shop premium exclusive - let's work together to offer your club members an unforgettable experience. We can tailor the options to suit your intended retail price which can vary depending on the club and demographic.

Our markers will never be able to compete in price with large quantity orders from traditional ball marker suppliers from overseas, but if you have a membership base that prefer quality and exclusivity, our pieces will be a great match for your pro shop.

PERSONALISED MARKERS

WHERE DO I ENTER MY DETAILS FOR A PERSONALISED MARKER?

All details can be entered via the form on the product page of the personalised marker you are shopping for. Please enter these details prior to checking out your marker.

WHAT IF MY DETAILS ARE FAR MORE THAN WHAT IS SHOWN ON THE EXAMPLE?

We will assess each marker on its merits and if we feel that some details are too long to fit (remember we are working on a marker only 38mm in diameter), we will create the design for proofing and email to you explaining the best-fit scenario. The personalised markers offered do not include numerous revisions or redesigns and if this is required, we will inform you. Mark has been a graphic designer since 1998 and his wish is to get the best result for you. Always keep in mind that a marker is 38mm in diameter and whilst it may look like there is plenty of free space to fill when zoomed in with a proof at 500%, at real-life size trying to cram too much info in can turn a well laid out piece to a piece that is headache inducing very quickly :)

We always have the option of a custom design, however this can be cost-prohibitive when there is only one piece being designed, prototyped and then produced.
