Omen Tier is the production evolution of the original prototype, refined into a serialised pitch repair tool defined by stepped geometry, material contrast, and controlled wear.
Laser milled from solid 4.8 mm brass, Tier is built through deep excavation rather than surface engraving. The stepped construction creates distinct planes across the tool, giving it visual weight while reinforcing strength where it matters most.
Along the thumb scallop, the stepped profile introduces both tactile grip and shadow, allowing the form to read clearly from multiple angles while remaining comfortable in use. In the prong area, the same stepped language continues, transitioning from the body into the working ends in a way that feels intentional rather than tapered away. These steps are not decorative — they define the character of the piece and give it a mechanical, architectural presence.
The body is finished with a blackened patina, then selectively brushed to expose brass at contact points. This process establishes contrast from the outset while allowing the tool to develop character naturally through carry and play.
The reverse features a shallow engraved hatch pattern that functions as grip and wear management, designed to age evenly over time rather than polish unpredictably.
Set into the face are copper and stainless steel inserts, bonded and finished flush. The stainless insert is glass bead blasted, providing a soft matte contrast against the darker brass and copper tones, while remaining visually protected as the surrounding material evolves.
Each Omen Tier is individually finished and serialised, with subtle variations in patina, brushing, and surface character expected as part of small-batch production. No two pieces will age the same.
Omen Tier is designed to be used, carried, and worn — its surface, edges, and steps intended to record use rather than resist it.
