Desert Vice is a study in excess, tension, and consequence.

This piece draws directly from the visual language of Grand Theft Auto — neon-soaked nights, heat rising off concrete, and a world that runs just past the point of control. It sits in that space where everything looks polished on the surface, but underneath, it’s unstable.

Machined from 4.8 mm solid brass, the front face carries a molten finish. This is not simulated. The brass is driven to a point where it softens and shifts, forming an organic, sand-like texture as it cools. The surface is raw, uneven, and unpredictable, catching light in a way that feels more environmental than manufactured.

Engraved contour lines run through this field, referencing shifting terrain and movement. They break up the mass and introduce a sense that the surface is never fully settled.

The front text is deep cut, then polished and brushed so it stands proud against the darker field. The surrounding brass is patina blackened and selectively brought back by hand, creating contrast without flattening the texture. Each piece lands slightly differently.

The reverse side shifts the narrative.

“Wasted” and the wanted-level star system pull directly from GTA’s shorthand for consequence. Not reward. Not celebration. Just the outcome. Paired with an ID tag–style layout, the back reads more like a record than a graphic — something logged, not displayed.

Each Desert Vice Works Edition marker is individually serialised and finished in-house, with final detailing completed one piece at a time.
